How to Save Money on Your Trip to Europe
The number one way to save money is to plan well.
My first trip to the UK was in 1992 with my two year old. I had one book, one map and no reservations. I didn’t know what was here, only that I wanted to visit the Middle Ages. I drove 3,000 miles in two weeks, lost a bumper in Scotland, was rear ended in Canterbury and managed to waste a lot of time. I was astonished to see how little I knew and how different it was from home.
We’ve come a long way since then and now we have infinite sources of information to sift through on the Internet and that means research and planning to get it right.
European travel is expensive and if you don’t plan well you will miss things you wanted to see and see things you didn’t want to. Whether this is a once in a lifetime European trip or a weekend away, planning will save you time and money.
After nearly 30 years of planning I’m happy to say I’ve not only become good at it, I enjoy it. I love being able to create something that people are surprised and excited by.
