Duffryn House & Garden, South Wales

The manor house dates primarily from the 1890’s and was built by the Cory family. While not medieval it is somewhat unique..  The house had fallen into disrepair under the council’s ownership, but has recently been taken over by the National Trust who have set about conserving and opening the manor to the public.

Duffryn Estate does date back to the middle ages even if there is no trace of buildings from that time.  The estate was once known as the manor of Worlton and belonged to the Bishop of Llandaff.

The manor sits in 55 acres of beautiful gardens divided into intimate areas.
